                                        Traditions                      By: Alexis S.
In the Congo, they have many traditions. Some are big, some are small. Here are some that we have read.
Did you know that they traditionally eat their food with the one’s finger!? WOW! That is something you could try to do at home!
When people come over if you want to greet them here is how you do it. They usually shake with the right hand ONLY to make it a proper greeting. If they don’t shake with the right hand it won’t be proper. That might be fun to try with your friends and family when you see them.
So, that  is my story about traditions in the Congo.

Animals in the congo are much different from the animals in the USA. This story will be mainly about the Okapi.
An Okapi is half giraffe and half zebra. You can only find the Okapi in tropical rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Okapi eats the leaves of the shrubs and lianas. Those ingredients make up the Okapis diet. Although the Okapi eats new leaves, its diet is mainly of fully mature leaves.
Theses facts helped me learn more about states, countries, and animals.

In Congo they often wear bright colors that are from the colors in the rainbow They also wear bright colors with suits, dresses, and other outfits. With their outfits they also wear animal prints, feathers, and fur.
When they wear jewelry, most of the time they are made of colored rocks, shells, or beads. They do that to make it different.
Did you know they wear beads on some type of string to make a fashionable cover up?! I didn’t! That is COOL!
