  • Informative Essay:  Write me a story about something that you know about.

Hi! My name is Alexis and in this little story I am going to tell you about my dog Max! When we got Max he was only 1 year old and we got him for our mothers birthday from a farm. The first time we took a look at him he was PERFECT! He was the fastest one there! He was the cutest one too! So, we took him and we drove him to his new home! When we got him home we prepared for his first night in the house and we named him Max.
We trained him before his first night too! After his first night,we potty trained him a little and showed him around the house and his stuff to play with. We also taught him his name and we got him to get used to us and living in the house! That was fun, but also tiring. SO, we got him some treats and some more stuff for him the next day.
We got him some of his treats and we got him his first tug toy. When we got home he was SO HAPPY to see us, but we weren't happy to see what he had done to the house. He had made some accidents, but it was just his first hour without us so, we couldn’t be mad at him. He had grown up and here he is today with our family, all trained, and 4 years old.

  • Narrative Essay:  This is a fiction story.

Once upon a time there was a girl named Sally. She was next in line for the Queen Of England. She was so excited to be next in line! Sh couldn’t believe that on the first day of Spring she was going to be the new Queen Sally! So, on that day she was getting ready to be crowned she go in her new ivory dress and ivory shoes. Maybe even some red ribbon!
After she was ready and beautiful she went out to the ceremony and finally got crowned the Queen Of England! She was so excited! When she got to her new room she learned her duties and  places to go to every day! She looked at the papers and she had the WHOLE WEEK off of doing things! She wondered what she could do? “Should I walk The Queens Bridge or see the Treasures?” She said. She decided she would go take a look at the treasure, and so she did.
After she got a look at the treasure she yawned. She said to herself “I think I will go to bed now.” She got the maids to show her to her bed once again and she got in her pajamas and warm fuzzy slippers and dozed off. The End

  • Research Paper:  Research something, and write a story about it.

In this story I am going to tell  you about dogs. Dogs are great pets, but sometimes they get in a lot of trouble. To get a dog to have to be prepared. Get some dog food, water, treats, chew toys, and maybe a bone or two.
Many dog breeds have kind of funky names like my dog is a Lhasa Apso Bichon. They are very fluffy and have a lot of energy sometimes.------------>  max.jpg Now I am going to show you the Boxer. ------>boxer.jpg
The Boxer is a good dog to have because some of them are very good at protecting others and their family. Also a Boxer body is very compacted and powerful. The nose is large and black. They have brown eyes. They have straight front legs and good muscles. The back legs have good muscles too! But they have more strength. So, that was about the Boxer. Here I am going to tell you about the Yorkshire Terrier. -------> terrier.jpgThey have long fur and they are small. They were developed in the 19th century in the county  of Yorkshire, England to catch rats in clothing mills, they were also used as rat-baiting. They are bold, confident, courageous, intelligent, and independent.

About Me!

                                About Me!
                                                                 By: Alexis k Stoychoff

Hi! My name is Alexis Stoychoff. I am in fourth grade, and I am ready and excited for fifth! My favorite thing in fourth grade is seeing all the wonderful teachers, helpers, and all of my friends! In this little story about me, I am going to tell you some of my likes and dislikes in and out of school. So let's get started!
Some of my likes inside of school are seeing my friends, helpers, and my teachers. I also like playing outside at recess and doing fun projects with others. Some things I like outside of school are playing outside with my sister and going to my town park. One more thing is that I like having sleepovers with my friend Alexia because she is fun and funny too! Sometimes we even stay up till' 1:00 a.m.! Those were some of my likes in and out of school.
Some of my dislikes inside of school are the blurting and some of the talking. Especially the meanest bullies! I don't really like P.E. that much either, but sometimes it can get a little more fun. Some of my dislikes outside of school are that sometimes my sister because we fight a lot and mean people that I meet. One more thing I don't like outside of school is not seeing all my friends and teachers in school. Those were some of my dislike in and out of school!
It has been a fun year, and I hope you learned a little about me and my likes and dislikes in and out of school. I can't wait to be in fifth grade next year! I hope that will be as great as the on I am living through now. I hope you enjoyed my story!

Why I Like Summer!

                        Why I Like Summer!
                                                              By: Alexis K Stoychoff

One thing I like about summer is going to the pool everyday and cooling off from the blazing, hot sun. I also like playing with all of my friends and family at party celebrations! Some other things that I like about summer is that there are all kinds of AMAZING holidays to celebrate like the Fourth Of July, Birthday parties, and more!
Others are that there are so many new thing that might come to you and maybe even some new friends from the beach! Like, you might lose a tooth or have the BEST BIRTHDAY EVER! Maybe even build your first sandcastle!
The best part is that every summer before school for us we get to go anywhere we want to go shopping and don't worry about the price and get as many clothes, jewelry, and shoes as we want until our parents say "That's enough" Last year the price came up to over 100 dollars! WOW! He REALLY does love us both.
The other best part is that sometimes my family, and I get to go to a water park! One year, we went to this water that had all of these buckets hung up in the air by a pole and a fountain would fill them up. After one bucket was filled, it would start to tip and if you go under it at the right time all the water that was in the bucket would dump on you and you would be soaked! That was the best part of being at that waterpark!
Some of the last things that like about summer is seeing your friends and staying away from our enemies because sometimes they can get in the way of our fun with our other friends and family. So, stay away from they mean kids and people and live your OWN summer the way you want to with no one getting in the way of that. Have a great summer and stay fun!

                          By: Alexis K Stoychoff

That bright moment when you see their face,
The cuteness is on a race,

A sunny day when you get to play outside,
A warm day for the pool,

That time when you get to hold them after    awhile,
You smile with joy and say…

                                        Traditions                      By: Alexis S.
In the Congo, they have many traditions. Some are big, some are small. Here are some that we have read.
Did you know that they traditionally eat their food with the one’s finger!? WOW! That is something you could try to do at home!
When people come over if you want to greet them here is how you do it. They usually shake with the right hand ONLY to make it a proper greeting. If they don’t shake with the right hand it won’t be proper. That might be fun to try with your friends and family when you see them.
So, that  is my story about traditions in the Congo.
                                                                  By: Emma P.
Animals in the congo are much different from the animals in the USA. This story will be mainly about the Okapi.
An Okapi is half giraffe and half zebra. You can only find the Okapi in tropical rainforest in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. The Okapi eats the leaves of the shrubs and lianas. Those ingredients make up the Okapis diet. Although the Okapi eats new leaves, its diet is mainly of fully mature leaves.
Theses facts helped me learn more about states, countries, and animals.

When they wear jewelry, most of the time they are made of colored rocks, shells, or beads. They do that to make it different.
Did you know they wear beads on some type of string to make a fashionable cover up?! I didn’t! That is COOL!
So, I hope you enjoyed my fact filled story about fashion in the Congo!

                            Our Snow Forts
                                                                By: Alexis Stoychoff

Hi! My name is Alexis! I am in Mr. E's fourth grade class and I am going to tell you some reasons why you will want to come to my fort and not somebody else's.                                                                        First, I am going to tell you a little about our snow fort. Our snow is 6 feet tall. The perimeter is 44 feet, the area is 102 feet square, and the volume is 720 feet cubed! WOW Those are big numbers! We also all voted on group E's fort.
In addition, our fort is better because it has a nice, warm fireplace and has a sofa and a chair! It is 'nice...warm' inside too! The BEST thing about our snow fort is that our has a separate room for the door and it can fit 6 fourth graders in it laying down sideways and vertical
Next, Now I am going to tell you some reason why you should not go to any body else's fort. Theirs is SUPER COLD! They were all messing around when they were building it too! Their walls are uneven, and it is about to fall on top of someone!
Third, the reason why we are all doing this project in the first place is so we can have a little fun in the whole fourth grade and so we can have fun learning area, perimeter, and volume.
In conclusion, we are not trying to be mean to each other and it is not a competition either. We are all just trying to have fun doing it. So that was my story about our classes snow fort.
