My Favorite Place

                                      My Favorite Place
                                                                                   By: Alexis K Stoychoff

Once on a hot summer day my mom planned to go to Lost Island Water-park with me, my sister Hailey, my mom Sheri, and my brother Christian and his girlfriend Josie. Lost Island was in Water Loo so, we had to drive 2 hours from our house the Lost Island. BORING! When we got there we got all of our stuff and we headed inside. The water park was outside so the sun was BURNING HOT!!! When we found a good seat when I looked around I saw HUGE water slides that were all kinds of different colors! I was AMAZED! I also saw some big pools and some tasty snack bars. I could hear the laughter of kids having fun and the slashing and flowing of the cool water. I could smell  the nice pretty plants and the nice cool food running through my nose well I walked. Then, we went on some water slides and swam in the big, cool pools. After we swam we all went to the snack bar and had a snack and some treats to fill our stomachs. After that we had some more fun with water and then it was time to go back home. We packed up all of our stuff and we went to the car and put our things in the back and went home. That was FUN!

Once on November 19th 2013 the whole fourth grade was practicing for the fourth grade program and after they practiced from 9:00-10:20p.m.. Then, finally our whole school including the helpers and the teachers. When all the kids and the teachers were settled in we started. Now, I am going to tell you the songs that we sang and the order that we sung them in. First, we sang Hola From Pinataville. Then all the pirates came out and sang Arrr! Next, only the people of Pinataville sang What Should We Do? Then, all the pirates sung Pepper Music. Then, all of us sang Forgiveness Is The Treasure We Seek and Jolly Fiesta! My friend Grace Meyer and Skyla Geitzenauer had the two first solo's in the Forgiveness Is The Treasure We Seek. We performed for our parents at 6:30 and then we performed it for our whole school at 10:20. My favorite part was seeing all of my friends and family wall I performed. That was FUN! The End

My Weekend

                                          My Weekend
                                          By:Alexis Kay Stoychoff

This weekend on Saturday me, mom, Hailey, and my grandma all just layed on the couch and watch T.V. and we watched Spongebob and we also played Am I with them. On Sunday I went to Tanner's birthday and I got him a Lego car and it was a pool party and Best Western. The kids who were there was Keagan, Me, Hailey, Chloe, Tanner, Emma, Jaxson, Autumn, Jaxson, and some other kids. The cake was Halo styled and the gift bags were sports styled. I went in the hot tub and the cold  pool. We played a game with a ball and then we ate cake, cookies,  mix, and some cupcakes. Then, we all saw Tanner open his presents and then we all swam until our parents came to pick us all up. So, that was my SUPER FUN weekend! I hope you enjoyed!

The Sign Of The Beaver

                                 The Sign Of The Beaver

                                                                          Day: 1

This book was about a boy named Matt. His family left him the take care of this cabin for 7 weeks. His dad left him with food, water, and the cabin. He also left him with a rifle that had 7 notches. Well his dad was gone he did some work at the cabin he tended the corn and when he did that some crows started to bother  him and he wanted to shoot them but, he didn't want to waste his powder and notches. He wanted to count the weeks but, he couldn't because they didn't have calenders back then. Later in the story he saw a deer and he remembered that he once wanted to shoot one and bring it home for food but, again he didn't want the waste his power or notches.

Day:2

In the 3 chapters we read today was that Matt found this stranger in the woods  and the stranger went in his house and he tried to not close his eyes because he was trying to guard the cabin and he went to sleep and in the morning the stranger was gone and so was the gun. The next day he got up and went to the pond near the woods and caught 3 spotted  trouts and he found out that all his stuff was ruined because a bear got in the cabin well he was fishing. The next day he was thinking about the bee tree that him and his dad found and he went to go get some honey from it and he tried to and the bee's stared chasing him until he went in water and then two Indians saved him and brought him to his bed and gave him some medicine.

Day:4

In the two chapters we read today were about that Matt taught the Indian some of the ABC letter's and then the Indian taught Matt how to fish like an Indian and how to make a fire like an Indian. When Matt caught some fish he skinned them all and gutted them all. Then they cooked it on the fire that Attean (The Indian) made.

Something I Had To Learn The Hard Way

Something I Had To Learn The Hard Way
                                      By: Alexis Kay Stoychoff

I'm Alexis, and this is my story about a time in my life I had to learn something the hard way. A lot of people learn differently. Some people learn the hard way and some people learn the easy way. I learned it the hard way. So, this is my story about it! I was playing inside my cool, nice living room on a hot summer day with my dad Eric. (He is a funny man!) When we were playing I would try to poke him and it never works because he always says  "Don't poke the bear!" because when I do he always does something to me. So, I poked him wondering what he will do to me and I made the wrong choice can you guess what happened? He grabbed me by the head and gave me a big knuckle head! It messed up my hair so bad that I had to go downstairs and get the brush to brush it again! We kept on laughing and laughing until we stopped and then we carried on with our playing! We played rolling pin and horse which is when I hop on his back and he walks like a horse. Then, played some board games with my family! That was fun! This was a special time for me because I don't really get to see my dad very much because he is always working, sleeping because he works at night, or he is hunting up north. So, that was my story about that one time in my life I had to learn something the hard way! I hope you enjoyed!
